Tree Removal/Dismantling

Complete removal of tree's that could have out grown their surroundings, be dangerous or just unwanted.

Crown Reduction

Reduces the outer mass of a tree’s spread and height, to make the shape smaller. The crown is the area of branches that holds the leaves.

Crown Lifting

To achieve a successful crown lift, the idea is to remove the lower branches from the tree. The outer areas of the tree’s canopy which supports the leaves are known as the crown.

Crown Thinning

Crown thinning is simply removing small branches that make up the crown of the tree. The branches that hold the foliage in the outer areas is known as the crown. To thin the tree, we want to remove the branches but keep the size and shape of the tree.

Pollarding

Pollarding is a method of pruning that keeps trees and shrubs smaller than they would naturally grow. It is often started once a tree or shrub reaches a certain height, and annual pollarding will restrict the plant to that height.

Formative Pruning

Minor pruning during the early years of a trees growth to establish the desired form and/or to correct defects or weaknesses that may affect structure in later life. Formative pruning is the process of shaping a tree when it is young. Every variety has a different natural growth habit, but unpruned fruit trees will for the most part produce a crown cluttered with branches so yielding smaller, lower quality fruit.

Stump Grinding

Stump grinding is simply the method of removing a stump (the leftover tree trunk in the ground) after a tree has been felled.

The tool we use for this method is called a stump grinder, the most efficient tool to remove a stump. A stump grinder is an extremely powerful rotating disc that we lower onto a tree stump.

As the stump grinder is lowered, the stump and its roots break away into smaller chunks until the ground level is reached.

Site Clearance

Commercial and domestic site clearances

Site clearance is a standard operation we run after tree care services have been completed. Tree removal, crown thinning or stump removal will all leave large amounts of debris for removal.

Not only does debris take up space, but it also poses a risk of injury to pedestrians and wildlife. However, we can remove this wood and have it safely recycled.

Our tree surgeons are qualified to operate heavy machinery used to recycle this debris, furthermore, turning it into firewood or fertiliser. It’s a great way to benefit the local environment.

Hedge Trimming, Reducing, Removal

Hedge Trimming is to carefully prune the shrubbery’s outer areas to keep your hedge healthy, looking sharp and under control, but keeping the size. Hedge reduction is the process of reducing the height (front, back and sides) of the shrubbery equally, this is done by trimming back the stems so the hedge is well balanced, more manageable or to let more light in. Hedge removal, including the roots is to prepare for a new hedge to be planted or a fence to be erected.

We also offer a planting service where we can prepare the ground to plant a new hedge row, shrubs or trees.
